Mypocketband started out of the founder, Stephen March's, frustration as a songwriter without a band. Being a vocalist and Rhythm guitar player, he needed additional players to fully develop his sound. He was introduced to an excellent multi-instrumentalist producer in Portland who was able to lay down all of the parts that he needed. Stephen lived in Sacramento but they were able to do everything via email and phone. 

At a local show, Stephen, decided to try out something new. He brought his IPOD with one of his songs that was recorded without vocals or Rhythm guitar to play along to. He pulled out his IPOD and told the crowd that he brought his pocketband. It was then that he knew he had to share this concept with the world.
